they charged my money, didn't recognize it for the first time and returned only in a month - no apologies followed

The location was great and I loved the big chair.

No mug to put tea or coffee in when using in room coffee machine.

  • Couple

we liked the loction & price when searching for a motel. when we checked in it was more then expected. having a resturant in the motel was great we will stay again.

  • Couple

The staff was very helpful I was there for surgery and they had no problem moving me to a smoking room, so I didn't have to keep getting up to go outside. They also took money off the amount of my room, as I was having surgery.

The bed was not comfortable at all.

  • Family with children

Very friendly staff at front desk. We stayed there Friday August 3, 2012 and the guy on the front desk that evening (don't remember his name) was wonderful, helpful and very friendly. Would definitly stay there again. Good value for the money.

A little older looking and smelled a little stale and no pool, which our kids would have liked.

  • Group of friends

    Life style Friendly-appreciate that alot!!!!

No restaurant Staff did not attend to my needs

Easy access to highway. Fast check-in and out, clean room, quiet

No ameneties, ( I.E. spa). Breakfast not served until after 9:00 A.M.,

  • Older travelers

It is close by to everything

Their was this smell in the hallways

  • Group of friends

Convenient location not too far from Trans-Canada Highway. Restaurant on site where we had breakfast but not dinner. Walking distance to banks, restaurants, gas stations, other shopping facilities. Short drive to downtown historic district (we took a cab there and back - had enough driving!) A little dated, but very clean and comfortable - good place for our overnight stop en route to North Sydney, NS and ferry to Newfoundland. Value for money, and stayed there again on our way home from Newfoundland.

We had non-smoking rooms both stays but the ones on the way home had slightly smoky smell. Would not put us off staying there again.

  • Older travelers

Its location allows pedestrians to shop, dine, etc.

The motel lacks an elevator, and the steepness of the staircase makes toting heavy bags extremely difficult.

  • Single

    convenience and available breakfast

    It seemed to smell 'old'

  • Group of friends

Location and it felt like a comfortable homey place

    A little old/worn looking.

  • Couple

Free parking. Easy to find. Access to highway. Price (especially if you have 4 guests).

Could hear noise from other rooms and hallway. Not near downtown.

  • Single

I really liked the location of the Motel to the Dr. Chalmers Hospital, the price also was very good compared to other facilities which I looked at. The price was also a factor, especially when you have family at the hospital and there is already a large expense there.
